About Me (a link for nosy people)
If you must, you can contact me at: pink.agendist@yahoo.com
In a nutshell: I’m a fine arts specialist with a background in art history. Late 30’s, gay married to an actor from the Royal Shakespeare Company. After spending 16 years in southern Spain we bought a rather magnificent historical home in the south of France in December of 2014 (which will probably take the rest of our lives to restore.) My blogging activities have moved here.
this is feckin’ awesome. i love what you’ve written here. but, do it as a ‘page’ instead of a ‘post’ – this came through as a post. a post will only appear once and a page will leave under your header image forever – or for as long as you keep this blog active. 🙂 check this out – http://thebettermanprojects.wordpress.com/ – he has the same template as you, but see how he has the about page up there? that always stays there and the post below it changes all the time. where you make a post in the dashboard, there should be a separate tab for ‘page’ that’s what you want. or read this — http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ — in fact, definitely read that – it will tell you the difference. okay, all for today, momma’s got work to do! xo – sm
Thanks!!! All noted and corrected!!!
Look at Sweet Mother giving advice like all awesome moms do. All I can say to build on that is follow it, and her, everywhere. And thanks for following me. =)
I think she’s internet stalking me and she wants me to be her Baby Daddy. She said she was looking for a new apartment yesterday, but I saw a car parked outside for hours… LOL
That comment is post-worthy. You and SM might wanna do a joint blog about your qualifications for such an important role. Just sayin’ =)
Please email me! I would LOVE to have you on my radio show talking about the bullying issue! heather@processdifferently.com
My show is on Blogtalk every Monday night at 8pm e.s.t. Are you available this Monday night?
This is so awesome! I like! Hence following! and I saw that you liked my post! Thank you 😀 now take part :p Please? *See? I even threw in the magic word!*
x
This is really interesting stuff here – thanks for stopping by my modest efforts also! I have provided a link from mine to yours. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! You’ve got some really great pictures!
It’s nice to get to know you (as much as you can through the “About Me” section of a wordpress site). Thank you for following my blog because I’m really enjoying reading what you have to say.
You were definitely born stylin’. Sweet Mother knows all the best people. I’m glad I found your blog.
🙂
I’m stalking … er, following … you because of your witty banter with Sweet Mother in her comments section, 1/2 the reason I follow blogs. I’m going to have to catch up on your earlier posts, but I love your coming out post. That picture of kitty alone had me in stitches. Cheers!
As long as you stand in line in an orderly fashion. I should warn you my other stalkers are very finicky about no one cutting to the front. I think it’s because only people at the front can get a glimpse into my bedroom window 😀
I’m bringing my stilts then! 😉
Thanks so much for the like on my blog, I am definitely following yours just from this about page alone! Your life sounds interesting and quite a joy to read about 🙂 Are you still gay married to the UK theatre star? Who might he be? 😉 Hope you keep enjoying my blog and I will enjoy yours for sure!
politicsandcardigans.wordpress.com
Yep, still gay-married. After all these years, I’m pretty sure it’s for life. As for the actor… hmmm, I don’t want want to make this blog about him, but I can tell you he starred in a series called The Racing Game.
I Adore what you have done here and your blog, and you, if you are on Twitter connect with me @LisaDabrowski, Much Love and Respect to you…xx
Hi Lisa. Not on twitter, yet. I’m still one of those people who rarely uses a mobile phone 😉
My hero. As a cat I can only sit in jaw dropping wonder at American Christians who have to put their nose in everyone’s crotch. You’d think they were coon hounds.
Thanks! LOL
Hey, just wanted to let you know I added you to my blogroll! The description? FABULOUS. Just fabulous
You sir, make me happy on a level that few bloggers can. I found your blog by creeping through Handbasketonmyhead’s blog likes, and I was interested enough to check it out. Then, something incredible happened. I fell in love. It wasn’t that slow ‘I think I’m in love’ creep. It was a full frontal shot to the heart. For the love of everything, keep blogging.
❤ Mylifeinheartbeats
Thanks! I checked your About page and you say: I fall in love with everything beautiful in the world, so it was inevitable 😀 LOL
Oh boy, how snarky you are. I love it. I just also read my about me…and have decided that it needs a facelift. Of course, yes, I do still fall in love with everything beautiful, and you sir, are all that and more, but it seems below my standards in writing at this point.
Perhaps it’s just because I’ve now been exposed to your blog, and now I feel inferior, but either way…
Change is good.
Inferior? To the whack job in Spain? Hardly, my dear, hardly!
No, no, no. I’m just an outcast whack job in America. It’s worse, because everyone is chubby and racist here. I’m generalizing, but the people in my city (more like village) are a stereotypical generalization.
It’s a sad story. I’m like a fruit loop in a world full of cheerios…but not always in a good way.
Take a deep breath, there’s a world of fruit loops out here just waiting for you!!!
Don’t worry. It’s all about getting out of here and finding happiness. For now, I’m closeted in my bisexuality and my depression, but I’m starting to think people are getting hints of both.
I have a great idea. We can agree to both be just as amazing as each other. None of this whack job stuff. ❤
Very intriguing.
Fantastic! Really love that write up!
Thanks 😀
[…] last but not least, The Pink Agendist is in the process of getting Project ProteKT off the ground–go here to learn more about his […]
This is an awesome “About Me”, very funny!
Hello there!
Thank you very much to have visited my blog and now I’m just giving a look at yours. Hopeful you will go back to read more because as American any comment or opinion of yours become important for me and for my American-oriented blog, as it’s not so popluar and visited.Besides, I’ll be very glad if for every other stuffs we could be in touch by email. Hugs
tony
I’m French 😀
I’m sorry for the lapse, but as you say that your family is a bit from everywhere… it’s the same and what I wrote still valid. Bye
There are only two kinds of people in the world – those who care and those who don’t. I’m so glad you care 🙂
That’s very kind of you 😀
You were just the most adorable little boy!!
I nominated you for an award…I know, I know. But hey, you deserve it, so I hope you play along..
Love ya, mean it…
Bird
LOL, thanks 😀 Will play along, but you broke the 15 link rule, so I’m following your lead 😉
Oh my God. It takes me a good hour to do the little bit of linking that I do…The one time I tried to follow that rule, it took me 3 hours to write that post..and seriously, it is kind of a copy/paste kind of post anyways… 🙂 I’m glad you’re gonna play!!
erm… 15 link rule? Is this some arcane blogging law that n00bs don’t know about? Or am I being particularly dumb…
I found you through Bird, and I’m glad I did. I can now add another awesome blog to my follow list. The work you’re doing is important and I will support you in my limited online way.
Thanks Sara 😀
Well discovering yr writing has improved my life! Can I be the geek who asks what period of art history you specialise in? (I am currently doing MA history of art). x x
My writing is silly, but my art is (almost) serious 😉 Baroque at first, but then Spanish baroque all the way! But then that takes you to the colonies. Somehow you end up in the 18th century. Then you might feel you’re cheating and you go back in time and decide to concentrate on old masters. But you might visit one of the Russian art sales organized by Olga Vaigatcheva- so you might spend a year immersed in Russian animal miniatures. So I’m not sure I’m actually specialized in anything- although technically it would be baroque art.
lol..This made me laugh because I feel the same way about me entire life, not just aspects of my career…You are too cool, Pink!
😀 cool or confused? or twisted? or totally lost? or found?
Are you asking me? Who knows?
I sure would like an intelligent opinion on my post today, specifically from you. We have a sweet peace that exists between us despite some big differing opinions, and I like your differing –KIND– voice. Only if your are inclined, of course!!
Love you, Pink!
Another thought…I like the pics of your mom. Sorry she hurt you, of course, but her pictures remind me of my mom. Mine was a beauty queen, and she looked a little like yours…Lol!!
She’s not all bad. She’s one of those people who doesn’t understand the consequences of the things she does and says. A little bit like a kid, or a cheerleader 😉
Oh, man, do I understand that. Ever read my post about my mom’s Lying For the Better Good? Used to make my head explode!!!
But my mom wasn’t all that bad either..I guess it wouldn’t matter anyways..I love her. 🙂
not yet, but I’ll find it…
If I’m remembering correctly, I think it is one I wrote for 20 Lines A Day way back when…
Mmmm..I wonder if I should bring it to my site… Oh well, I already told you the jist of it anyways! Lol..
No, I think that is an adequate way to approach studying art..or atleast how I do. I started my MA with the aim to continue flirting with the late pre-raphaelites…then I thought maybe history of costume/fashion would be more *ahem* fitting..then i found myself suggesting a dissertation involving Rossetti, Lucian Freud and flesh (sister said I am a pervert)..and just today I declared I was concentrating solely on Post-postmodernism, philosophical aesthetics and beauty. Whilst writing about beautiful books and Walter Crane. Next week, I will probably have another idea. But I still think it is a good idea at 3am to email one and all discussing the latest plan to get me a PhD. ‘Even thought I don’t want one,’ I yawn the next morning ‘I would much rather be a fashion journalist. Or a war correspondent. To Hell with all this talk.’
Flit, Flit, like a butterfly. And I need to write that novel soon too. And make the bunting for brother’s wedding…
…or get married to the son/daughter of the Duke of…. 😉 It makes life so much more simple!
great read – merci and …
thank you for liking the post on President Obama
😉 If I liked it, there’s no need to thank me 😀
You have been nominated for an award!
I have only been blogging since March, so my nomination came as a complete surprise. But I am pleased to be nominated. I started blogging to take up some of my free time and to hopefully kick start my dormant drive to write. I’ve been surprised by how much I enjoy it, and I hope my few readers enjoy it too.
I’ve made some connections here in the Blogosphere and I really enjoy the interactions of so many different types of people, from ghosts to yogurt eaters. Since blogging is very anonymous the honesty on these pages is sometimes staggering. People blog about the best and the worst and the mundane and mediocre, and each is different and each is a new joy. One of these connections is the person who nominated me for this beautiful and sentimental award. Her link is found here http://hometogo232.wordpress.com
I am very honored to have been considered. As requested, here are the rules/suggestions related to receiving this award:
•Share who gave it to you with a link back to their blog: http://hometogo232.wordpress.com
•Reveal seven random facts about yourself. (follows)
•Give this award to fifteen other bloggers. (I stopped at ten.)
•Pop the award on my blog. (I can send instructions.)
Seven Things about me:
1. I need a new hula hoop.
2. I hate to shop. Groceries especially.
3. I only hate inanimate objects and ideas.
4. I like birdwatching.
5. I am learning to be more tolerant, especially those whose ideas totally contradict my own.
6. I avoid mirrors.
7. I don’t know how apply make up.
Here are the blogs that I want to nominate for this award. They all have something special to offer those that take time to read their blogs.

Hello, best wishes to all from the UK. Paul of Gay Activist
To you too, Paul 😀
Hi sir, thank you for liking my post “out of the metaphorical closet”. Appreciate the support. 🙂
julie.
I absolutely love your blog. I am surprised I missed this page the last time I was here though. Keep posting, and hey, slow down on the sex appeal photos. Not everyone can handle them! 😉 xx
Love yours too… Is this the internet equivalent of mutual masturbation?
I’m guessing your “type” is Spanish… because of the very special someone who gave you the Massimo Dutti bracelet 😉
I think it is the equivalent, but how rude of me!
Oh you already know me now don’t you! Spanish would definitely top my list, amongst other things hahah. 😉
Hi,Pink. Hope your computer is doing better. Just wanted you to know I nominated you for the Inspirational Blog Award, for all the good things you do.
I feel like a creeper (a term used at my school when we “stalk” fellow students on facebook) I have been reading your post, and I enjoy them a lot. If you could take some time to check out my blog, that would be great. Now I know it’s not much, but it would be awesome if you did. Your page inspires me to only make my post even better. Thank you.
hey I nominated you for an award http://purplegloves.wordpress.com/2012/06/14/reader-appreciation-awards/
Hey! Thanks for the “like” on my last post!
Cool blog….consider me a new fan 🙂
Every time I see your Gravatar photo pop up in the Comments section of Sweet Mother’s blog, you make me think of the groovy gay guy that Cher crushes on in Clueless. Work it!
What? I’m waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy better looking! 😛
Dear E.B.: A big thank you for your very kind and complimentary comments which you posted to your blog recently. Your repost was a very generous gesture and I’m always humbled and honored when colleagues praise my writing. Thank you for your kindness.
Darling,
Truth is a defence for libel. It’s also a defence for this accusation of kindness 😀
Your writing was praised because it merits great praise. Being called your “colleague” is generous. I don’t even pretend I could one day achieve your excellence in style.
xxx,
E.
I nominated you for an award!
(…about three weeks ago. Sorry I only just told you, my internet’s been down).
I’m leaving the blogosphere, so treat this as a leaving present; you deserve it!
Thank you! 😀
Pink Agendist,
I haven’t read your post, I just looked at your pictures. You’re almost as handsome as Le Clown. Kudos to you.
Le Clown
I literally just started a blog yesterday so I’m new to all this but I have to say I’m really glad you were my first ever ‘like.’ I’ve only just read your about page but I’m pretty sure I’m going to spend the next couple hours devouring the rest of your blog.
Careful, too much exposure to this blog may cause headaches and temporary blindness 😀
Your blog is fucking awesome. Plain and simple, fucking awesome.
Big cheers for stopping by and liking my post! Now’ I’m giving a look a yours, I’d say it’s fiercely honest. Indeed you are a natural!
Hi mate x
Hello, darling 😀
Nice to make your acquaintance. Am looking forward to chatting x
When I call your number come to window 2, window 1 is the butcher.
Thanks for the tip – I’m a vegetarian and very careful what I put inside my body 🙂
Great mix: 50% french, 50% spanish – you’re really handsome 😉
That’s very kind of you 😉
In my country it’s hard to find someone who looks like you. Everybody are the same :p haha
Hi There! I have just given you a Courageous Blogger Award. I hope you like it! 🙂 http://justcassie.wordpress.com/2012/08/25/awards/
Did I mention how much I love you?
LOL 😀
Ditto!
You were my 500th like today! I think that merits a big thank you! Or something… Well, anyway… Thanks! Gracias! Merci! Grazie! Danke!
Darling,
500 likes in one day means the merit is all yours 🙂
Haha, I wish I were that cool. I only just hit 500 likes for all time…
I love your blog. I hope you keep it up.
ditto 😀
What a unique and interesting life! Looking forward to reading more. (:
I have been following your blog for a while but never took the time to read this. I love your honesty and your sense of self. Continue blogging! The world needs more interesting people to share their passion and spread the love…
Another one of those annoying awards? I nominated you for The Liebster Award. 🙂 http://justcassie.wordpress.com/2012/12/15/liebster-award/
It is with great pleasure that I nominate you for the Liebster Award. I can hardly wait to read your answers to my questions and reveal more about yourself. Love Lucianus.
Your recent posts about the mirror sound like the start of a spooky short story or novel. You become more and more attached to the mirror until it becomes part of you or lets you view everything that was ever reflected in it. How about something along the lines of The Portrait of Dorian Grey?
Funny you’d say that. A friend came by a couple of days ago and saw the scene in the entrance hall. Armchair facing the mirror, wine glass on the floor, restoration materials everywhere- and she made a Dorian Grey joke…
ahyyy..pero que lindo eres!!!!!
Happy birthday beautiful: http://vickielester.com/2013/03/23/a-little-grog-in-venice-with-a-shake-from-a-nautical-bartender-1935/
I love your blog, it’s so…gay haha. That’s why I nominated you for the Leibster Award. You can go to my page and check out the rules. Keep Blogging!
But I’m only number 10 😛
#1 in my heart though :p
prove it 😛
hullo! new fan here! well, i must confess something at the start- i was actually snooping the web for news on your dear mike and viola! here he is- and you! and your lovely home! tell mike i actually wrote him a fan letter once- i think it had something to do with his lovely eyes… 🙂 and of course his acting prowess- huge fan of sid halley! oh, and of his rsc’s performance in the comedy of errors! got me started on my shakespeare love- so thanks, mike!
anyway, congrats on your success together and the lovely home and life you’ve chosen to share with us. btw, my brother just got “civil union-ed” w/ his partner of 30-odd years or so- in colorado. we’re getting there, it seems. all the best!
Hi, Regina
Thanks for your lovely message! Mike is well. We lead a mostly quiet life here in the south of Spain. Our congratulations to your brother.
warm regards,
E.
Hey! You probably don’t remember me as I have been out of the loop for so long but I’m back and I’ve missed reading your fantastic blogs! Can’t wait to catch up on them, All the best!
Of course I remember you. Poet boy who’s friends with gay American poet dad guy 🙂
That’s me! 😀 Hope things are will my friend!
Will be following you!
Hello! I am thinking of launching part of a collection of photos I am working on with a young friend…it is a departure for me, and yet, not. My ex-spouse and I went through an interesting tangle around gender/ sexuality over 25 years ago and he (the focus of it) popped out of it and got remarried. I popped out lesbian and have been with my partner for twenty years. TMI?!
The camera lens seems to be the way I will sort through it. The first photo was posted under Wordless Wednesday…feel free to share. I look forward to following..
Great site…
First of all, congrats on the title of this article, it’s brilliant !
Other than that well, congrats on the rest, I love your humour !
Thanks 😀
This was really, really, funny. Actually, all of your posts are really funny. I’ve been reading your blog for a few hours straight. No, really.
You have essentially just given me permission to be irritated altogether too easily and generally too snarky anyway. …is that even a good thing? Probably not. Oh well.
How did I even find you? Oh, that’s right. You commented on another blog. Okay, sure. I can deal with this. I find too many interesting people over the internet and read too many blogs. Fine.
Okay, I’ll shut up now. But you have an AWESOME blog!
That’s very kind of you 😀
Well, my friend … I have nominated you for the Liebster Award, which I hope pleases you. If you follow this link http://elementalprofundity.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1948&action=edit&message=6 , it will take you to my page. You’ll find the Liebster instructions as well as the 10 questions I have posed all of the impressive nominees. Enjoy answering them as much as I enjoyed my … hmm … intellectual adventure. Mark
On a separate note, I’d like to ask you about a character calling himself Moulay Zine … who runs a business in Casablanca, but claims to be a Prince … or at least some nutcase here in New York is parading his name around as if it matter. According to the Ambassador in Rabat, when I was there, the guy was a “petty crook” who had been in trouble with prostitution and other crimes. Do you know anything about him???
HRH has a brother named Moulay, but I have no idea if it’s the same person. Keep in mind there are tribal people who call themselves by titles. I’ve met my fair share of princeses, even of the European variety, of countries that haven’t existed for a very long time 😉
This guy has no relation to HRH, the Ambassador confirmed it. In fact, according to the American Ambassador the guy runs a used car dealership in Casablanca and is a former pimp. That fits with my interactions with him!
Ooh… And thanks for the award. I’m swamped w/ work this week, but I’ll do my best.
Thanks! I’d love to read your response to the questions !
You are attractive…yes…I noticed you used the words “gay-married.” I’ll be happy to see the day when people are just “married”…although I abhor that word, too. Married is a waitress and two bottles of ketchup, I say. How about “committed for life with mutual-love and mutual-respect”? But then that’s too long. I don’t know. Oh, and initially before I got side-tracked by your bio, I meant to say I appreciate your defense of molested children.
We’re not fans of marriage either, at least not in the classical sense. Unfortunately it’s necessary from a bureaucratic perspective i.e. illness, inheritance, property ownership etc.
And thanks for the compliment 🙂
You are welcome. Why are all the good ones taken? 😕
If I ever get married again it will be in a forest full of trees between me and the person I am marrying with an aluminum ring out of a cracker jack box. 😋
You have an interesting blog here, continue the great style.
Irene
I don’t think I would qualify as nosy 😛
Nice intro my friend and great blog you run here. Always a pleasure to visit.
It’s taken you this long to get here???
Unfortunately yes 🙂
I think it’s wonderful that people can be so open and honest about themselves these days and without the, rub it in your face, attitude. I love what you’ve said for your intro…pics are great! 🙂
There’s no point in hiding human experience. If we’re not telling the truth about what we’ve actually lives, we’re just wasting time 😉
Yes, we have to be true to ourselves. There is no point in living a lie…it’s such a waste. Bravo, sir.
A more beautiful atheist than myself? I
didn’t think it was possible 😀
OK, I’m not generally ‘nosy’, but I had to stop by and thank you for the follow. I like the fact that you love research and gardening, and your feisty, no-nonsense, wicked comments on other blogs have given me a good laugh and a rush of endorphins at times. I live in the gawd forsaken Bible Belt. Do you have room for me over there? I respect boundaries and pretty much keep to myself. You’ll hardly know I’m there. ;D
Interesting page you got here! That UK theatre actor thing made me extra curious. Haha! Thanks for liking my post, by the way. :). You seem to have a great blog so I made sure to follow you. :).
This is an awesome description of a life well lived. Wish I’d experienced half of what you’ve lived through, maybe just the escort part… 🙂
PS: I love that Jedward’s cousin comment. Great wit sir, I commend you. 🙂
It was a very short-lived career. I’d call it more an experiment 🙂 Don’t regret it at all, though. It made for a fascinating look into human nature and sexuality.
That would be the reason I would get into the escort business.. Totally.. To study human nature and sexuality. 🙂 sadly I doubt I would make a good escort.
It all really depends with what sector of the market one deals with. I dealt with higher end clients. Interestingly, people willing to pay a lot aren’t just looking for a quickie. The vast majority were looking for an emotional connection.
That is probably why I would never make a good escort.. I don’t do emotional connections very well. Either I overdo it or I undercook it, I am the anti-Goldilocks of emotional bonding…
Can I ask how you found me? Most readers are wordpress members, how do the others get here?
Yes. I was one of those “nosy people.”
Nice capsulization of your journey through life. Alas, the best is yet to be. But YOU know that!
Write some more stuff so I can read. I don’t have basic cable. I have a small TV (that Doris Day, yep Doris Day!) sent me for Christmas. It only plays ABC, CBS, NBC and 1 PBS and dozens of Spanish stations. I am in RURAL Leander, Texas … so I like to read stuff online.
